Our history:
For almost 50 years we haven been providing clean air at work worldwide.
Our story started in 1975 when John Plymoth and Dirk den Dekker started their own companies independently of one another – Plymouth in Sweden and Euromate in the Netherlands. The Swedish entrepreneur John Plymoth focused on engineered welding fume solutions for large clients, while the Dutch company, led by Dirk den Dekker, focused on plug-and-play products sold through dealers and partners. Two startups with two different strategies and one common goal: clean air for employees worldwide.
In 1989, Plymouth acquired CelciusVent, a leading manufacturer and distributor of ventilation systems for the capturing of vehicle exhaust fumes. The two company names were combined and the brand as we know it today was born: Plymovent.
Ten years later, Euromate acquired a distributor and became the Clean Air Group, which then acquired Plymovent in 2006. In 2014, the current shareholders acquired all Plymovent shares with the aim of continuing to build a great company with one main goal – clean air at work.
Products & services

Diluter
In some cases source extraction and hoods are not an option, for example if metalwork pieces are too big to be covered by extraction arms, as in the ship-building and transport manufacturing industry, or if welders constantly move in between positions. Plymovent has therefore developed a general filtration system that can control welding fumes in large facilities: the SCS-Diluter. This solution can be used in large workshops with various welding processes, changing activities, crane transportation and locations where ductwork is difficult to install. The result: reducing the background concentration of fumes to lower levels, giving a cleaner working environment!

DraftMax
The downdraft and backdraft workbench is a combination of a welding table and an extraction and filtration system. The compact downdraft table can be placed anywhere, e.g. inside a welding booth or connected to ductwork. The DraftMax is suitable for many applications, such as welding, grinding and plasma cutting. The Plymovent downdraft table removes fumes and dust directly from the welder's breathing zone via the work surface and the optional backdraft panel. The backdraft kit is recommended when working with a heat source, such as welding. Rapidly rising welding fumes can only be effectively captured by a combination that extracts downwards and backwards.

MFD
The MFD is a mobile extractor. It extracts dry welding fumes and grinding dust near the source. This mobile unit contains a mechanical DuraFilter system and can be equipped with either a plastic extraction arm, type Flex and UltraFlex or flexible hose, type SUS. Mobile units are ideal for welding activities on the spot. The system is equipped as standard with a filter indicator, that shows whether the extraction is still satisfactory or whether the filter needs to be replaced.
