      Tool and die making

Stansomatic designs and manufactures complex progressive stamping tools in our in-house tool department. We build, manufacture and test the tools based on drawings from our construction department. All to make sure that we can produce and deliver high-quality products. When the customer has approved the prototype, we begin the manufacturing and assembly of the progressive tool based on CAD drawings from our construction department. Our in-tool module layout concept and tool department secure that the product is manufactured with a short run-through time. All the processes are dealt with in-house, which results in the tool price being kept to a minimum. The tool department oversees the continued maintenance of the tools so that they are always ready for production. This involves tool and die maintenance, routine sharpening and emergency repair.

      Tool design

Do you have an important development project ahead of you? As your strategic partner, we can assist you throughout the entire process: from the initial process planning to prototype, all the way up to the production of the finished product. It all starts in our large design and engineering department where the progressive tools are designed. Our skilled technicians have great knowledge and experience translating ideas into 3D production drawings that can be used to make your product a reality. The key to a competitive product is to integrate production know-how early in the design phase. That is why we suggest that you consult us for any product development projects. We know that customers have specific needs and our experience shows us that if a design is optimized to fit the manufacturing processes, the lower the part price will be. This means that you can obtain higher savings by including us early on in the design phase. Our design team works in cooperation with other departments by sharing ideas and possibilities. They discuss all relevant parameters for manufacturing processes that best fulfill the product requirements and run analyses and simulations to optimize and improve the product quality. Planning, designing, developing and analyzing are all part of the tool design process. Other than taking the overall product and production method into account, we consider the shape and function, material- and process choice, surface treatment, packaging, assembly and delivery. Our tool design team works closely with the tooling and prototyping department to optimize the product quality while also saving manufacturing costs. The involved departments prepare in-depth FMEA-analyses and tolerance analyses which considerably reduce the risk of source errors. As your single-source partner, you can rely on us to optimize your part design and price to reduce your time to market and manufacturing costs.
