Q8 Oils metalworking fluids and lubricants

Since 2024, Bondis has been the Master Distributor of Q8 Oils metalworking fluids in Belgium and Luxembourg. This collaboration offers nothing but advantages: Bondis can supply high‑quality Q8 Oils metalworking fluids to keep customers’ machines running smoothly in full compliance with all applicable standards, while customers can rely on Bondis’ accurate distribution, flexibility, and added expertise. Bondis aims to completely relieve metalworking companies of all concerns related to metalworking fluids and lubrication technology, allowing them to fully focus on their production processes. This includes not only advising on and supplying a complete range of lubricants, but also providing additional services such as analyses and inspections to extend lubricant lifetime, as well as tools for emulsion management. Through regular follow‑ups, we make adjustments when needed to maintain the correct concentration or pH value.

    3. Real-time correction of seam shape at irregular pre-openings

Real-time correction of seam shape at irregular pre-openings

As long as parts fit perfectly together, gas cap and wire searching (Quick-Touch) are sufficient to measure deviations in the position of the weld seam so that the robot can automatically adjust it in the welding program. However, with V-, I- and raised welds, irregular pre-openings and deformations due to shrinkage or heat input, it becomes a lot more difficult and sometimes even impossible to weld these welds with the welding robot. Use of the welding robot in such cases is still no match for the speed and flexibility of an experienced manual welder. The ARC-EYE Adaptive plug-in that Valk Welding developed for its ARC-EYE CSS welding seam tracking system now changes this. ARC-EYE CSS is a laser sensor system, mounted on the robotic welding torch that registers deviations in the position of the weld seam during welding and corrects them in real time. This eliminates the need for manual program corrections and increases process speed. With the ARC-EYE Adaptive plug-in, the ARC-EYE CSS can now also be used to correct welds with larger tolerances in real time. Therefore, workpieces that could previously only be welded manually can now be welded on the robot thanks to this development.

Repairs to lathes, milling-, drilling-, and sawingmachines

Service to metalworking machines. Which machines? We are very clear about conventional and ProtoTRAK CNC metalworking machines, because we are really specialized in that. Which service? It could be anything. A mechanical defect such as bearings, guides, couplings, replacing spindles, replacing belts, you name it. Accuracy: we can take measurements, adjust guides or align machine elements Electrical, as long as it is not an NC or CNC control unknown to us, we can detect and solve electrical breakdowns Hydraulic and pneumatic repairs Safety, adjusting or installing new safety components. Convert, install a digital readout, change function, the possibilities are endless. What about parts? Parts of our own new machines are simple, we have close contact with the manufacturer and we also have access to a warehouse with thousands of current parts. With older used machines, there is a good chance that the manufacturer no longer exists. Here too we have built up a network through our years of experience where we can still supply parts of many brands. If this is not possible, we can usually manufacture these ourselves with our machines in our workshop.

    5. Research and innovation

      Research and innovation

The Belgian Welding Institute (BWI) carries out applied welding research, focussing on welding technologies and the weldability of materials for specific industrial use. Focus on industrial relevance Within our research activities, the voice of our members and industrie is key. Targetting the industrial end user, we have eyes for the industrial applicability of innovative joining techniques, trying as such to respond to know-how questions and supporting development projects that encourage innovation processes. It is our job to turn the results of research into economic opportunities in domains that could prove important for the industry in the longer term. Innovation support The importance of innovation in the field of welding and related techniques is undisputed: innovation is as such an significant prerequisite for sound management and a stronger competitive position. Knowledge of the current state of affairs and new developments provides a solid basis for the future. Moreover, the BWI keeps abreast of international developments by participating in European research projects.
