These liquids pickle a layer of the stainless steel surface and provide an anti-corrosion effect. Pickling baths can be filled with both small and large products. Pickling baths are used, among other things, to pickle exterior surfaces that are difficult to reach with a weld seam cleaner or spray pickling. During immersion in a pickling bath, the surface treatment is automated, unlike other pickling techniques where the color differences have to be pickled manually. Pickling rooms
From design to pickling room. Core Industrial specializes in the design and construction of pickling areas. These are designed entirely according to the customer's wishes. Here we specifically look at the customer's wishes and processes that must take place. The designers then work with the experts to optimally realize and design the space. This includes liquid-tight floors, chemical-resistant walls and ceilings, lighting, air filtration, water purification installation and possibly a pickling bath. These are designed in accordance with current legislation and regulations and the highest standards for a pleasant working environment. Initial consultation, measurement and advice. During the site visit, the advisor will provide advice based on his observations. This advice may include suggestions on the size, shape and design of the pickling area, as well as recommendations on the types of materials to be used. The advisor can also provide information about any additional features or options the customer may wish to consider. Configuration. Once the client has received the advice from the advisor, he can choose which options to follow. For example, the customer can choose to incorporate specific functions into his pickling room, such as a ventilation system or custom-made pickling baths. Alternatively, they can opt for a particular design or material preference based on their specific needs and preferences. Realization. Finally, the consultant proceeds with the custom construction of the pickling room, based on the client's wishes. This process may involve ordering materials, preparing the site for construction and installing the various components of the pickling room. Once construction is complete, the consultant will conduct the necessary testing to ensure the room is fully functional and meets the client's specifications.

Pickling/passivation
Pickling and passivation are applied to stainless steel in a single treatment. This removes pickling from welds and any annealing skin residue. The chromium oxide layer is restored, making the surface passive and therefore corrosion-resistant again. This process results in a smooth, matte finish.
