About us
The VDAB (Flemish Employment and Vocational Training Service) is the public employment service of Flanders. We are the matchmakers between those seeking work and those in need of staff.
Here is a list of the VDAB's key tasks:
1. Mediation: Finding the right job
This is one of VDAB's core tasks, where job seekers are guided in finding a job that suits them.
My Career: Through this online platform, you can post your CV and search for vacancies.
Matching: The VDAB system automatically links your skills to open vacancies.
Guidance: Do you need extra help? Then you will be assigned a mediator who supports you with your job application.
2. Training: Honing your skills
The labor market is changing rapidly, and VDAB ensures that you keep up. As a job seeker, you can often take free training courses (from languages and IT to technical professions such as welder, CNC operator, maintenance technician, ...).
Workplace learning: VDAB organizes internships and training on the job, so that you learn by doing.
3. Support for employers
Companies turn to VDAB to fill their vacancies. VDAB can help with this as well.
