Summary of the function
• The maintenance technician is responsible for the effective troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical breakdowns on CNC machines but also for the installation of this various equipment.
• Must be able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams, perform routine preventive maintenance on machines and accessories and be competent with the use of mechanical tools.
• He writes daily invention reports to record/encode the troubleshooting carried out.
• The goal will be to troubleshoot the machine in a timely manner. This person will therefore have to work in close collaboration with the maintenance and installations manager but also the planning manager.
• Finally, the CNC technician is also responsible for providing relevant information to the office team with the aim of facilitating the work of other departments involved.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
• Troubleshooting, installation and maintenance of CNC machines and their peripherals at customer sites
• Work closely with our suppliers, members of the technical service and the office to ensure quality service.
• Contact and interact with customers on maintenance issues requiring external expertise or subcontracting service (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Citizen, Biglia, etc.). To carry out this task, mastery of basic technical English is essential (reading, writing and communicating).
• Write technical reports of work carried out and provide feedback to the team regarding the situation alongside the client.
• Assist, alongside the customer, with preventive and predictive maintenance of CNC installations and production machines if necessary.
